Information regarding social events :

  1. NESTing Space, 29.06.2023, 16:00-18:00, Location: IOER. This event is conceptualised as a networking event between outgoing postdocs from the LRN Summer School, the incoming NEST participants, and senior researchers at the IOER. We will explore formats like world cafe, speed dating, and group interviews to facilitate a dialogue between researchers in different career stages. The event will be organised and sponsored by the LRN Summer School.")
  2. Do-it- toGEtHer: an evening for creative collaboration at GEH8, 29.06.2023, 19:00 onwards Location: GEH8. GEH8 is a non-profit society in Dresden for the promotion of contemporary art and culture. The work of the initiative deals with current social issues, which are addressed from the perspective of art targeting thresholds and seeking interdisciplinary exchange. We have selected this inspiring setting as a venue for exchange between transition and transformation researchers. The GEH8 will provide an introduction to the society’s work. This will be followed by dinner at the GEH8 (on a self-paid basis).
  3. Dinner at Planwirtschaft, 30.06.2023, 18:30 onwards, location: Planwirtschaft. The Planwirtschaft is a cozy restaurant in the middle of the vibrant district Neustadt in Dresden serving good food and drinks. This is the perfect location to chat with new contacts made during the conference and old friends you have not seen for a while. Afterwards, Neustadt and its many bars are free for you to explore! The dinner starts at 6:30 pm on Friday June 30. You can join the conference dinner on a self-paid basis for 40€. This requires you to register via this link by June 16 and transfer the corresponding amount to the account provided."

2. Instructions for Presenters

Instructions and additional information for on-site presenters

  • Each presenter will have 10 minutes to present their work and 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Each session will have a chairperson responsible for presenting the speakers, and controlling the time and leading the discussion.
  • A computer and projector will be provided for the presenters.
  • We suggest having the presentation slides available in PowerPoint and PDF formats.
  • Please bring your presentation on an external drive and be in your room 5 minutes prior to the start of the session

  • Bring your poster printed (format A0).
  • Prepare a short pitch discussing the poster presentation (less than 3 minutes is recommended)
  • Bring your poster on the first conference day and hand it over to the conference organizers.
