Abstract

The paper is introducing a research project in a suburban area of the city of Lahti aiming to produce citizen oriented information of the area by different resident groups. The project started in 2020 by collecting basic information and identifying stakeholder groups in the area. Citizen experiences were collected by a map-based questionnaire and interviews directed to adult and especially elderly citizens in Mukkula. Due to the findings a two-week experiment of temporary meeting place in the local shopping mall was arranged in spring 2022 to provide and test a service which was identified in the earlier research.
